Antibes

Although we didn’t do as much moving around in France as we usually do, we did ensure we had a day allocated for a day trip to Antibes. The original plan was to head from where we stay in Fréjus westward, along the coast to Marseille. Unfortunately the weather would either be ludicrously hot, or really stormy. In the end, we decided to head east to Antibes.

Seafront

The old town in Antibes is enclosed by a 16th-century rampart which makes for a wonderful viewing platform of the beachs, port and architecture.

Markets

The markets in Antibes were some of the nicest we’ve visited. The fruit and veg market was very narrow and hot, but intimate, which made it ideal for making photographs.
