This year's World Photography Day was celebrating in style with two top instameets held by the IgersBirmingham team!
Only managing to attend the secondwe wre given the opportunity to explore the inside and roof of the Fort Dunlop building. It's quite a well known landmark, I remember driving past it frequently on the way to and from my Grandparents house many years ago.
Thinking I'd be able to get some cool light trails of cars flying down the passing motorway andleading towards the Birmingham skyline on the horizon, I hastily hired a Zeiss 85mm.
Unfortunately on arrival (and despite being first to nab the best spot) it was a pretty gloomy day, on top of that it was incredibly windy making long exposures almost impossible. I instead switched tactics and put together some images of the building interior.
Of course the collection wouldn't be complete without a picture of Birmingham's skyline... very tiny in the distance.
